The lecture was part of Seoul National University's “Prestigious Foreign Scholars’ Initiative”
Mark Steinberg Weil was an emeritus professor in Art History and Archaeology at Washington University in St. Louis. The lecture was established in his memory by his wife, the artist and WashU emeritus Sam Fox School faculty member Joan Hall.
The course is taught by Dr. Elizabeth Childs in the Department of Art History and Archaeology, and Dr. Alex Stefaniak in the Department of Music.
The lectures were both held at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia)
The lecture was in celebration of a Ruysch exhibition at the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe.
The book is Volume 40 in the Yale Classical Studies series
