Internship Credits
Students may pursue up to six hours of internship credit working in the arts community. These internship credits are credit/no credit. They do not count toward the major or minor, but they do count toward overall graduation credit requirements. Academic credit for internships is arranged through the Career Center and is awarded at the 2000-level.

The Kemper is a fantastic resource for those studying Art History and Archaeology. The museum offers several paid and credit-based programs for WashU students.

Museum Internships
There are also opportunities to receive both paid and unpaid internships at museums and galleries in Saint Louis and beyond. For example, the Saint Louis Art Museum offers positions in their Curatorial, Registrarial, and Education departments. These jobs often revolve around a special exhibition, but can also involve working with an institution's permanent collection. Recently, students have interned at Sotheby's Auction House, the Saint Louis Toy Museum, the Cloisters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Smithsonian Archives.
