Professor Child's Seminar "Cahokia to Contemporary" visits DC!


Professor Elizabeth Child's Spring 2023 seminar, "Cahokia to Contemporary: Native American Arts, Past(s) and Future," traveled to Washington D.C. April 7-8 to visit the National Museum of the American Indian, supported by the Mark S. Weil and Joan M. Hall Endowment. 

Students in the seminar - undergraduates Max Scherer, Artemisio Romero y Carver, Levi Gentry, Violette Terjanian, and Zoe Shulman and graduate students Harper Tooch, Madi Hester, Claire Lyman, Christina Youngpeter, and Megan Belcher - engaged with the museum's presentation and curation of Native American objects, generating discussion on the represenation and presenation of Native American narratives.
